1st Edition – Communication Techniques Course
In this edition, 20 young extractivists and indigenous people from ten protected areas of the Amazon had the opportunity to learn concepts and communication techniques, with an emphasis on photography and audiovisual. The graduating class produced six videos that make up the series “Forest Speeches: Speaking of the Real Amazon.” Each video highlights how traditional and indigenous communities protect their territories and face the climate crisis.
2nd Edition – Roots and Territories: Communication as a Protection Tool
25 young indigenous people, extractivists, and settlers from nine protected areas completed a 65-hour course on environmental crimes and communication techniques. As a result, two series of videos and photographs were produced, portraying environmental threats and the resistance of traditional communities in protected areas.
